Greater Flamingos
Greater Flamingos are one of the several species of flamingos. The Greater Flamingo is the largest species of flamingos and can grow up to five feet tall but can only weigh up to eight pounds. Flamingos live in colonies like the one in the picture on the right; some colonies have thousands of members. Greater Flamingos are white in color but younger, less mature birds are grey. Greater Flamingos also have a honking call similar to a goose. All in all Greater Flamingos are very cool and very interesting to study.
